This? This is why I still have a huge issue with Chris Brown. The victim shaming that befell Rihanna after the beating, how Brown’s horde of fans tried to turn the beating on her, how the media exploited her. How the media and fans then made Brown out to be a young man who made a bad choice and felt bad about it. How they then made Chris into something of a saint for doing his “penance”.

A bad choice is choosing not to study for an exam. A bad choice is drinking until you have a hangover the next morning and miss your important meeting at work.

Being a fucking bad human being is physically assaulting someone. Chris Brown BEAT a woman. He didn’t restrain her or walk away from the altercation. He BEAT her into submission.

But hey, boys will be boys, right?

Let’s also forget his temper tantrum when he got asked about the incident and then threw a chair at a window.

He’s just a well-meaning kid. No anger problems whatsoever.

Obviously, she was asking for it and victimized the Grammy’s by making a stink out of the whole thing and depriving them of Chris for two years.
